EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing means Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.

It is a method of desensitizing and reprocessing emotionally traumatic experiences through bilateral brain stimulation, which promotes communication between the two hemispheres of the brain.

EMDR recreates what happens naturally during dreaming or sleep in the REM (Rapid Eye Movement) phase and can be seen as a physiologically-based therapy that helps people to face and experience traumas in a new way and without the disturbing effects.

As a result of extensive research, the possibilities for intervention have been expanded to include phobias, panic disorder, depression and psychosomatic illnesses.
