Support for Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding is a natural option and the scientifically recommended food of choice for the first few months of life.
The WHO and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months of life.
However, despite being a “natural” and “instinctive” option for the human species, it is not always easy to start and continue breastfeeding in a society where women are often very isolated during the postpartum period, without the support of a support network that provides them with security, knowledge, comfort and rest.

Various problems can arise and make it difficult to establish pleasurable and fluid lactation.
To solve them and provide this fundamental support for parents’ confidence in knowing their baby and in the breastfeeding process, Pediatricamente offers breastfeeding support consultations, carried out by an internationally certified lactation consultant – IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), with many years of experience in the field, in addition to her training as a pediatrician, and an inexhaustible passion for breastfeeding.
To facilitate this process, breastfeeding support consultations are included free of charge in the First Year of Life Package, or can be offered individually or in support packages of 2 or 4 sessions.
Intervention should be early, i.e. the earlier you intervene, the more successful breastfeeding will be!
